We are gradually bringing life back to Brno's largest brownfield, where Nová Zbrojovka is being built. We are creating a modern full-fledged urban district with housing, job opportunities and above-standard civic amenities. Already today, Nová Zbrojovka is a popular place for Brno residents who come to us for culture, relaxation, sports or good food and coffee. It is already alive here, and this is just the beginning.

From the beginning, Nová Zbrojovka is also here for you. We support the events by creating facilities for sports, relaxation and entertainment, by adding businesses and services and by organizing various events. Do you want to play football or beach volleyball, use the playground, have a barbecue with friends, go to a yoga class, concert or theatre, eat well or have a famous coffee? Then Nová Zbrojovka is your destination. And there are more options coming soon. A two-hectare waterfront revitalization project is underway, which, along with the implementation of flood control measures, will offer additional space for recreation and sport with a connection to the bike path.

The school and kindergarten are the main pillars of the civic amenities of Nová Zbrojovka. We currently have two private schools and a playgroup, which will be joined in the coming years by a planned state-run nursery and primary school with 27 classes for over 800 children. Currently, the City of Brno is preparing project documentation for implementation based on the design of the SOA architects studio selected in an architectural competition in 2023. This will be followed by another kindergarten on the Svitava embankment at the entrance to the Nové Zbrojovka, for the construction of which an investment plan has already been approved.
