Light up the Christmas tree with us
Everyone looks forward to the moment when the lights on the Christmas tree are lit for the first time – children admire the magical sparkle and parents rejoice in their enthusiasm and the twinkle in their eyes. We will ceremoniously light up the tree and illuminate Nová Zbrojovka at 5:00 p.m., so come on time so you don't miss it.

Tree of fulfilled wishes – bring joy to children or seniors
You can participate in this traditional charity activity and bring joy to sick children or seniors. There will be two Christmas trees with wishes at Nová Zbrojovka – one for chronically ill children from the Children's University Hospital Brno, from the surgery and neurology departments. The second is for seniors from the Slunce retirement home in Židenice. Just take a tag with a wish, buy a gift, and bring it back to us with the tag – we will deliver it to the right address.
- Wishes for children can be found in the lobby of Hrad at Lazaretní 1/7.
- Wishes for seniors will be posted in the ZET.Office building opposite Amenities Park.

Become a blacksmith and forge your own decoration
Children have a unique opportunity to try their hand at blacksmithing under the guidance of an experienced blacksmith. Pick up a blacksmith's hammer and create your own original souvenir, decoration, or pendant on an anvil. You will experience the feeling of a true craftsman, where each strike of the hammer brings the metal closer to its final form. An ordinary piece of metal will suddenly become a small work of art. And a souvenir of Christmas in Nová Zbrojovka is born!
Create wooden decorations with Oskárek
With Oskárek from Brno, young participants will make their own wooden decorations. We will provide them with pre-cut wooden shapes, which they can paint with colors according to their imagination. They will take home not only beautiful decorations for their Christmas tree, but also the joy of a handmade gift that they can give to their loved ones. Even complete beginners can give it a try.
Are you curious to see what lead casting can show you?
You can also look forward to traditional lead casting – we will give you a coin with a molded image, which you will melt over a flame and then quickly pour into cold water. The water will immediately create an original shape that may resemble a heart, a star, a tree, or your own unique imprint. Based on its shape, you can symbolically interpret what awaits you in the new year from the guidebook. All it takes is a little imagination to create a magical moment that is an integral part of Christmas.
Set a boat with a candle afloat on the water
Another beautiful tradition! We will give you a boat made of walnut shells, wax, and a candle. Light it and set it afloat on the water. The flame in the boat represents your wishes and hopes, while the flow of water represents your life's journey – shared boats symbolize connections with loved ones, while solitary boats represent the individual's journey. You will experience a poetic moment full of light, symbolism, and wishes, which will beautifully complement the Advent atmosphere.

VIDA! Science Center
For science enthusiasts of all ages, we have also prepared entertaining experiments with the VIDA! Science Center – try out experiments that will intrigue, entertain, and educate you. The prepared activities will give you a glimpse into the secrets of physics, chemistry, and natural phenomena in a fun way. Everyone will take away not only an experience, but also new knowledge and inspiration for their own discovery of the world.
Music, Christmas treats, and Advent wreaths
Two bands will accompany you throughout the afternoon. Š.O.K. – teachers from the Gajdošova Elementary School in Židenice will sing Czech and international hits. And Rapela will play a colorful mix of swing, blues, and soul. You can also choose from a wide range of Advent wreaths and mistletoe from the AMMI flower shop. And because Christmas is also about the smell of goodies, we have prepared Turbomošt, mulled wine, punch, sweet doughnuts of various flavors and colors from Kobliha Brno, and refreshments from Re.SET Food.

When and where
WHEN: November 27, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. The bands will play until 6:30 p.m., but you can keep partying as long as the mulled wine keeps flowing.
WHERE: Amenities Park – opposite ZET.Office, Nová Zbrojovka
Admission is free – only the workshop with Oskárek and the blacksmithing craft are paid, payment is possible only in cash or using a QR code.

Parking is NOT available at Nová Zbrojovka. You can park on Lazaretní Street or in the surrounding streets.
